Double-clicking on the "ASTEC Files" icon opens the window shown. The ASTEC Files icon contains other folders for the major file types. The use of folder icons (versus a unique icon) makes it clear to new and inexperienced users just what to do to get to something. Double-click it! The New Files folder name is in BOLD and indicates to the caller that something new has been addded to this folder since their last call. This is a feature TeleFinder keeps track of, for each user.   Inside the New Files folder, you can see that the file QXP 3.0 Imposter is the only file with a BOLD name, so it's the only new file added since the last call. These files are System 7 alias files, with the actual files located in their respective folders. The alias files are trashed (oldest first) and new alias files take there place. In this arrangement, you wouldn't want to use a utility that deletes original as well as alias files! This folder arrangement of 16 icons (and 12 icons elsewhere) is used through out the BBS layout, as it makes new items readily available and minimizes the amount of time a caller has to look through folder levels. It also supports 9-inch screen compact Mac users!   The folder layout is carried through this folder. Since the Quadra only runs under System 7, a folder for new files associated with the Quadra is located here. TeleFinder Group Edition Host places icons and folders in the same place that they reside on your Host Mac. Therefore, you need to pay attention to icon and folder placement, along with tiling of the folders. Unfortunately, the loss of a "Layout" resource for System 7 can make the layout a bit tricky at times. We use a System 6.0.7 floppy with the Finder's Layout resource modified and boot with it when the BBS icon arrangements get a little too uneven. Using System 7 Clean Up usually puts the icons where we don't want them!
